A2 Coursework: Shot List

Creating a storyboard has allowed me to see what my film is likely to look like in more detail. It is a very useful guideline as I'm able to know which shots I want to use and where I'm going to use them.  It is also less time consuming as I already know what I have to on the day of my filming.

Lip Syncing (for specific parts.)	1	Mid Shot/Long Shot	Park Bench. (Not the same as bench used later on) not a definite location.	Protagonist (David) will lip sync the whole song. Will later be inserted into specific parts in editing.
2:1	2	Mid Shot (Hand held tracking)	Near the entrance of the park.	Protagonist will be walking towards the camera that is in front of him. He will be lip syncing 1st verse (Whilst looking into camera)- 0:10 -0:41 *31 seconds*
2:1	3	Long Shot (from right hand side)	Near the entrance of the park.	Protagonist will be walking further into the park.
3:1	4	Mid Shot	Park bench.	Protagonist will be sitting on bench. Will then reach into his pocket and pull out a fortune cookie.
3:2	5	OTS	Park Bench.	Will see protagonist open fortune cookie wrapper.
3:3	6	Mid Shot	Park Bench.	Fortune cookie in hand. Will then break it.
3:4	7	OST/CU	Park Bench.	CU of protagonist hand and opened fortune cookie in hand. This will show what fortune says: “You will find love today”
3:5	8	Long Shot	Park Bench.	Protagonist would have read message. He Will then look up from his hands and look right and left frantically. Will then stand up and move out of shot.
4:1	9	Mid Shot	Foot Path (in park)	Protagonist will be walking towards camera. He will stop in front of it. Will then check his watch and walk out of shot.
5:1	10	Handheld tracking shot (OTS)	Foot path	Will see a girl in the OTS shot who is face away from him.
6:1	11	Mid Shot	Foot path	Grabs girl (Amy) on the shoulder and makes her face him.
6:2	12	Mid Shot	Foot Path	Of the girl he has approached (Amy)Girl look confused and scared
6:3	13	Mid shot	Foot path	Protagonist looks at the girl as she quickly walks away from him .Protagonist lip syncs. Line from: 0:58-1:01 “Fortune Cookie won’t you tell me what’s good tonight.” Then walks out of shot.
7:1	14	Mid Shot	Train Station: High Barnet.	Protagonist walks down the stairs for the train station. (Walks into mid shot)
7:2	15	Long Shot	Inside train.	Protagonist is seated on train. Girl walks onto train (Shahreen) and sit down opposite protagonist. (Shahreen will be looking at her phone)
7:2	16	Mid Shot	Inside Train.	Girl looking at her phone.
7:2	17	Mid Shot	Inside Tran.	Protagonist will be lip syncing 1:24-1:29.
7:2	18	Mid Shot	Inside Train.	Protagonist moves to sit next to girl and then tries to put his arm around her.
7:2	19	Mid Shot	Inside Train.	Girl looks up from her phone and gives protagonist a dirty look as she stands and walks out of shot. Protagonist looks disappointed/Sad.
8	20	Tracking	Barnet Park	Protagonist walks down street and watches a happy couple wistfully walk past . (Eden + Aarti)
9:1	21	Mid shot	Park Bench	Protagonist on his own looking exasperated.
9:2	22	Mid shot	Park Bench	Girl (Jess) walks into the mid shot and takes a seat next to protagonist.
9:3	23	Mid Shot	Park Bench	Girl taps protagonist on shoulder whilst smiling flirtatiously.
9:4	24	Mid Shot	Park Bench.	Looks up at girl sees that she is smiling at him and returns smile.
9:5	25	Mid Shot	Park Bench	Improv.
9:6	26	Long Shot	Park	As protagonist and girl stand up from bench hold hands and walk out of shot.
10	27	Mid Shot	Park	Protagonist and girl walk out of park hold hand and looking happy.
