A2 Coursework: Completed Magazine Advert and Process of the Making Poster

After I had researched the common forms and convention of magazine adverts I was them able to create my own that would advertise my own artist. I already had the concept in mind that the advert would have a similar theme to my Digi Pak as I felt as though it would go together well and allow the audience to have a clear link between my album and the poster.




 Firstly I used the same background that I used for my digi pak (universe background) I then added the rainbow gradient overlay to add some eye catching colour that would allow my poster to sand out.

I then added my image of my artist onto the background. I made sure that he was the main figure of the poster and placed him in the middle of the poster. I used this image as it was an intense photograph and I felt that it would attract the attention of my target audience. He is also holding his guitar in the image and I feel as though it reflects how important music is to my artist and also that he is very passionate

about music.

After I had added the image of my artist I then added his name and the title of the album over his head. I used the "True Lies" font that I got from Dafont.com. I used this font as it was the same font used on my digipak and because it worked so well with the divg pak I also used it for the poster. However used a rainbow  gradient overlay over the font, I did this as it made the poster even brighter and also means

that my artist name and the album name will be seen clearly as it is also in ver large font.











I then added the image of the digi pak onto the poster. I did this so that the album it self could be identified by potential costumers, it is important that they know what the object they are purchasing looks like so they can recognise it when they go and buy it










I put the title of an already released  song onto the poster, as the song Fortune Cookie has already been released and has a music video, it is important that it is mentioned on the poster so that if a consumer has heard off the song the poster will peek their interest of the artist and his up coming album.













As we live in a more digital age it is likely that a large amount of people will want to purchase the album digitally. Therefore I made sure that the audience know that the album can be purched digitally on iTunes. It is important that the audience knows this as it could me they are more likely to look it up online and find out more able the album.






I then added one of the most important part of the poster; the release date. This is important  as it allows us to know when the album will be available for purchase. I places it under the album title so that it can not b missed.





I then finally added quote for the album and a star rating. This is always a positive comment able the album it is important  that there is a positive backing as it might influence a person to purchase the album. Also I have added that the album as video extras, this means that the consumer can be more interactive with the album as this is what makes it a digi pak it has more to offer than your standard album as you can watch the music videos of songs that are off the album and can even have a video message for the artist himself.
