A2 Coursework: Conventions of an Magazine Advert

Now that I've completed my Digipak I am now moving on to create a magazine advert that will accompany my digipak. Before I make the advert I am researching the common conventions needed to make the appropriate magazine advert. The first thing that I have conisdered is the artist. For a magazine advert it is very important that the artist is clearly established as that is what catches the attention of the audience.

1. Artist's Name - This will often be in a very large and eye catching font

2.Album Title - Usually found bellow the name of the artist also bold and eye catching.

3. Image of the Artist- It is very important that the image of the artist is prominent to the public and that the image of the artist reflects the brand identity the artist is trying to convey

4.Relsease Date -Allows us to know when the album will be available for purchase.

5.Image of Digipak - This means that we are able to see what the album looks like.

6.Video Extra - This is what makes the album a digipak and allows audience  to be more interactive with the music and artist.

7. Star Rating and Review- People are likely to buy the album if it is being recommended by a big publication such as NME or The Times

8.Where the album is available for purchase - Eg ITunes, Amazon this tell us where we can buy the album
